Lucie Luna
Luna loves both perfecting her skills on the violin as well as getting creative with compositions and improvisation. Not that either of those has to stay within one genre. She prefers the challenge of mixing genres and art forms to create something original. For instance: playing violin and singing at the same time, classical music with breakdance or composing and performing with circus.
She was 5 years old when she picked up the violin, 13 when she became concertmaster in her first orchestra, 15 when she started writing her own pop/folk music, 18 when she directed her first theatre play and started arranging music for pop orchestras and ensembles and 22 when she joined her first musical, Come From Away, and produced her first circus show with her duo Susanna x Luna.
When she decided to make music her career she switched high schools to the Havo/vwo voor Muziek en Dans in Codarts, now known as Codarts Lyceum. From there she went onto studying Classical music at Codarts with extra courses in the Pop department and dividing her main subject in the two genres. Through Codarts she got to take part in a wide variety of projects from which her circus duo originated.
Now 25 years old, she is focusing on expanding her composing/performing skills and starting up her own music project, Lune. Besides this she is working together with cellist Patrycja Skowronska as a duo and taking part in a starting jazz collective.
